WK44: 🥞🍕JOHNNY’S🍕🇺🇸on Union Rd in Cheektovegas🎰was a dark horse🐎favorite that seemed to bubble up in the🕵️‍♀️“must hit”🔫list📜that’s getting ever-squeezed week’buh’week. With “John’s”, “Johnny’s”, “Johnnies”, “John & Mary’s”, “Papa John’s👨🏻”, “Bob & John’s” and “Johnny J’s”, I took a leap from the lion’s head🏺🦁that this was the right John☠️. But would this be just another John amongst a sea of pizzas for a seasoned trick-turning #sexysliceswhore🍕, such as myself👯‍♀️? Let’s see what you got, cowboy🤠?

Dough🥖:(B) Up’s📈and downs📉that round out to the mean. A barely-there🤭crisp to the undercarriage, fairly gummy top-layer, but a damn fine crispy cheesy crust.

Cheese🧀:(D+/C-) I don’t know what they’re using, but it’s wispy, fairly bland, and thin AF. Micro-strands of silky cheese breaking apart in your mouth in every bite. I think the tiny “chunks” in the pepperoni are micro-bits of whatever mozz they’re shaking on. Likely a sign it’s too granular. Not the hearty, chewy, salty crisp you’re (at least I’m) looking for.

Sauce🥫:(A-) Herby, distinctively onion-forward, and delicious. More like a pasta sauce than most pizza sauces, which I tend to enjoy. A little too loose and a slightly odd aftertaste knock it back from god-tier🕋.

Pepperoni🍖:(B) if you’ve had cup-and-char you’ve had this. On the thinner side and in fairly average number. That lands at the average. “B”.
